RMSA 2004 ANNUAL DINNEROur annual dinner has once again proved to be both popular and a success. Our numbers were a little reduced when compared with recent years due in the main to a number of our regular patrons being unwell and unable to attend, and the usual ravages that age places on us all. The staff at BAWA created a pleasing and immaculate setting for the event, as can be seen in the photographs. The service was excellent and speedy and to the usual high standard we have come to anticipate. The food was good, hot and very tasty as any who witnessed the empty plates on my table - and I do mean empty. This year we had as our guest Mr Iain Gray; Managing Director of Airbus UK. Mr Gray expressed pleasure at being able to greet so many acquaintances from previous years and considerable time was spent chatting to a number of those present. |

After the meal there were short addresses from the Association Chairman and our Social Secretary who outlined briefly some of the events planned for 2005. Finally the floor was handed to Mr Gray who expressed great pleasure at being able to attend the function and informed the gathering of the events and the success achieved in 2004 and the hopes for 2005. Following these brief addresses the formal event drew to a close but no-one seemed in a hurry to depart. Many groups continued to grow and shrink as members wandered from one group to another as conversations waxed and waned. Our thanks go to our Social Secretary and his lady for their usual exceptional organisation and to the BAWA Staff for their part in making the event a success.
