WELCOME TO NEW MEMBERS

No new members have joined the
R M S A since the issue of the Summer Newsletter.

To thrive, this association requires a regular intake of new members. Persons who have retired in the recent past would be particularly welcomed.

Do you know of anyone who is eligible and who could be interested in joining us? If so, then please mention this to any member of the committee

OBITUARIES

It is with sadness that we report former colleagues known to have passed away since the publication of our last Newsletter: -

  • Mr. G. D. Ballinger
  • Mr. K. E. N. Cragg
  • Mr. E. J. W. Matthews
  • Mr. N. A. Purnell

Our sympathy is extended to the families and all next of kin.

BENEVOLENCE AND NURSING HOMES

A number of our members have enquired on the availability of Nursing Homes and Benevolence in general.

Unfortunately the Association has no knowledge of any benevolent fund to which our membership can be referred nor do we have access to any nursing homes.

The only advice we can offer in respect of any such queries’ is by advising reference to one of the following: -

  • Your own General Practitioner
  • The Citizens Advice Bureau
  • Age Concern
  • Help the Aged

We regret we are unable to be of more assistance when such queries are directed to us.

Your Committee

DO YOU REMEMBER…?

Do you remember the old days at Filton, when just after the war (’45) all sorts of tasks were undertaken that had nothing to do with aircraft manufacture.

I remember when we made panel sections for pre-fabricated buildings in what was then “Sub Assembly A”. If there is anyone who can remember this I would be delighted to hear from you.

B. Fairchild
