During the annual pre-OTS pelvic meeting we discussed a number of current topics. We had some exciting research opportunities discussed which will hopefully come to fruition over the coming years. Ash and I also put it out to the group to see what other topics people wanted to discuss. There was lots of interest in trying to develop some consensus statements on common topics in order to improve patient care, not just in the MTCs but also in the trauma units around the countr

BAPAS at the Global Fragility Fracture Network Conference 2026
It was an honour for us to represent both the OTS and BAPAS at the meeting in Toronto. This was a fantastic opportunity to highlight the work that is being done in the UK in relation to fragility fractures affecting the pelvis and acetabulum. The meeting offered opportunities for networking with surgeons, orthogeriatric specialists and allied health professionals who were all highly motivated to improve the care of patients suffering from fragility fractures.
